Beale Street
Have you made the pilgrimage to Beale Street?
Of course, there are other great sites to visit blues, but it seems that everyone has heard Beale Street. I live about 10 or so hours from Memphis and have been twice. Although this disc from Nashville to Memphis is a killer, I can foresee another visit to my future, if only to get new shirts from BB King and the Rum Boogie Cafe! lol What do you think? If you were there, please share any impressions you might have about it.
Been there 3 times and I can not wait to leave. Some thing about the "air" out there ... it still feels like the blues. The rich history, live music every 100 meters, the food (especially Rum Boogie on!) Ahhh cannot wait until I can go again !!!!!! If not this summer, then of course in January at the International Blues Competition!
