Contour Terrain
How do I put attributes to a contour in AutoCad and then I get a Digital Terrain Model??
Depends a bit on what you want to achieve but basically you can do it 1) the cheap but hard way or 2) the easy but expensive way...
1) Polylines raised to the correct height (z coordinate) can be then joined with 3dface triangles. Remember:
____a) for the last point of the 3dface press return without selecting a point otherwise you make a rectangle and that could fold either way.
____b) more importantly draw in the correct direction consistently to make sure the 3dfaces all point the same way / be visible from the same direction.
You can also do the same in 3D modelling programs such as 3DS Max which are a terrain command to build terrain from you polylines or splines.
2) MDT is a simple plugin for AutoCAD which has good tutorials and user manuals. It does the same as expensive top end professional packages like Architectural
Map, Civil 3D or Bentley's Triforma for Microstation. All of these automate the typical tasks of Terrain modelling such as cut and fill but this many be much more than you want.
Also check out cheaper general plugins which can help draw and manage polylines:
