Best settings for Amp and Overdrive / Distortion Pedal for blink-182?
I am performing all the little things and I want to know the best settings. I have a Fender Stratocaster (He who is like 400 dollars) and a Fender amp frontman of crap that came with my pack brothers Squier. but I use a pedal cuz it sounds better. it's a boss overdrive / distortion pedal. what would be the best settings for my guitar amp and pedal?
Well, assuming it's a start Standard - Make sure your guitar is the humbucker pickup (one at the very bottom). This is a special pickup, you can buy called Seamore Duncan Invader is the one used in Tom Delonge Blink 182, and it would give you the sound perfectly. This was the only pick-up he had on his early signature. I'm not familiar with a Fender Frontman, but you want to enable gain all the way up, down to about 8, about 7 medium, and treble to about 8 or 9. An overdrive pedal is not really her you Blink 182, so you're better off without it. Try to tweak the amp as I have said and use your humbucker pickups.
