How do I introduce a dog year 4 in a pack created?
I have three dogs of the mother, son and daughter (the father died last year). and my daughters dog (who is a bitch) lived in the same house but upstairs. I want them to live all three hounds are between 9 and 10 years and the other is almost 4. the mother is calm dominant as my daughters. we tried before, but the mother and his son to become aggressive. Did you have ideas where best to repatriate my dog girls that I have a house for her, if not impossible. if please help
I had this problem. I tied all the dogs, a new, two established, closely, but out of reach each other for several hours. I did this to a friend house where no dog has ever been and can not claim. They barked to few minutes, then slowed. After several hours I fed the dogs first established in their usual order. Once they had finished eating I took all three for a very quick, very long, exhausting walk very slowly, closer until they touch. When they returned, they were all friends and stayed that way. The shared experience of smelling new smells together, to be Dogs strange territory marked another dog seemed a report. PS, before all this happened, I swapped each litter of dogs to another - to familiarize them with the smell. I got this advice from a guy named Jim Quinn, in my opinion (and FBIS) one the best dog trainers in the world. He even trained dogs to Queen Elizabeth II and the FBI.
