Battery light in ASTRA ESTATE?
I have a astra estate blue and my battery light on the dashboard came while driving and depending on the light towers and it blows my engine management stays on when the engine is started. I was wondering if someone could tell me if the alternater is F **** D before going out and buying one? (Vauxhall Astra 1.6 16v CDX Estate)
Almost definitely. When they overload they can sometimes blow the battery light. Check the load rate with a multimeter, but you'll need to replace the bulb in the instruments, because it relies on a flow through this circuit dropping "excite" the alternator first.
