Home remedies for irritated spinal/leg nerves, anyone?
Ok here's the scoop. Im 24- had a lumbar discectomy (back surgery) 3 months ago. Was doing fine when I started back to work (and I sit for 80% of the 8hours I work). Past week I've been having that pain from before running down my legs again but the pain isn't bad like before the surgery because the pinching isn't there as much as it was before. Anyway long story-short, I was just wondering if anyone has home remedies to kind of take away the pain? I've heard the one with vinegar in hot bath water and that one didn't help ha ha. I've tried the ice pack, and hot baths, taking my medications, but the pain is still there. Can anyone think of anything else? Thank you in advanced, it's greatly appreciated. No dumb-a$$ remarks/answers please. 
Forgot to mention- went to the ER last night and I don't get to see the surgon again until 3 weeks from now. Just need remedies for temporary relief.
I do have soma's, if the vicodin doesn't keep up they may be my next option.
You have leg pains caused by tight muscles in your back pressing onto the nerves going to your legs to cause pains to happen in them. To get rid of this pain you have to free up the muscles in your back and the pains will be gone. How did they free up the muscles when they did the surgery? If they didn't they didn't do you any favors with what they did. here's how to free them up:
Back:
(do from a sitting position)
Place your left hand on your left leg next to your body. Place your right hand over your left shoulder, fingers over the back and the palm in the front and firmly pull down on them and hold. After 30 seconds slowly lower your body forward and to the outside of your left leg, keeping your left arm fairly straight as you do. When you reach your lap remain there for another 10 seconds, release the pressure but rest there for another 30 seconds. Then reverse your hand positions and do your right side.
For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed.
