Can I buy or use a compact refrigerator, say, Home Depot or Lowe's, instead of a a surplus store RV (Camping World). I'm looking at a difference of $ 800. My husband and I have completely refurbished a travel trailer we just bought and the existing refrigerator is very old and outdated.
As indicated above, refrigerators Travel trailers are better designed for the RV, because they can run on propane gas, battery, and draw regular electricity. This means your food stays cool when you travel.
