Is a pack batery lead to overheating of the 3 red rings of death on the Xbox 360?

my xbox working time another and then when I play a game .. it freezes .. reset it and 3 red rings. Any help? I tried a second unit for the Xbox, and even it did not work either.

18004myxbox appeal. Looks like you might have a problem. You must be covered under there warranty to 3 years ...
