Can you Identify this Field Artillery from canvas carrier from WWI?

We were cleaning out the garage and found a 6-1/2 ft x 7 ft piece of heavy canvas with 3 leather straps on each side that appear to buckle to the opposite side. Printed on it is weight 50 pounds, cu feet 7, Lt. J.S. Richardson, 27th F.A., 3 red stripes ., a triangle with the letter A in one corner, E in another corner and F the 3rd corner.

this is most likely a roof to hang over artillery shells, kind of like a lean-to
