how well I take a picture of my architecture model to put in a portfolio?

I apply to my program architecture schools. I have many models from different classes, but do not know how to take a picture of them properly. For example a wooden model of the bass on a black foam core, if I want a white / gray / black or how would I go about this implementation? Should I create a box made of white foam core and set the pattern here? Should I take my model without taking photos to use light the sun? please help, thank you!

I do not think that sunlight is the best for your model, but why not take pictures both inside and outside to see what shows your best work. You want to take good pictures of all angles of your models, then Put the best in your wallet. Always choose the angle that best shows your labor, your most attractive feature, and better illumination of the whole. Do not take photos 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.. -The light is too strong and creates harsh shadows.
