I have a style casement window ... I intend to purchase a portable air conditioner and I was wondering if I could just stick the tube through the window, and were hanging out the window. I'm not the purpose of the look good or anything, I just want it to work and be able to cool a small room.
You have to build some something to cover the rest of the opening so that you are not constantly letting more hot air but yes, it is essential to work.
