My washing machine top load has a strong musty odor, it is stronger, how can I get rid of it?
I have already ran the apple cider vinegar and bleach in cycles. I tried hot water with bleach, hot water with water Bleach and 409 in a cycle. We well water and it is very clean, so there is no water (or at least I think). I saw that there are products online that you put in a cycle and it cleans so-called, but I do not want to waste money. Please send me your suggestions!
Ok .... I doubt it's the drum. There are other possibilities for the smell. There is a trail around the top of the drum in the washer if you move the drum is forward or backward, you will see that you make sure it's clean. Then lift the agitator they all come up ... some need a screw loose to clean the pin of the agitator and is on all channels that may be rotten in there. Finally check that the outlet pipe. over time they get a layer of dirt and residues from detergents and fabric softeners. To do this, remove and rinse with a garden hose or replace it.
